Our Mission

Tours, tech, history, great food, great friends, and plenty of smiles, the Sonora A’s way.

Dedicated to the Ford Model A (1928–1931)… and to the friends you meet along the road.

A group of Model A owners in Sonora and the surrounding areas came together in 1993 to form our club. They secured a chapter charter from our national organization, the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA). We are also proud members of the Northern California Regional Group (NCRG). MAFCA hosts national conventions every two years in different parts of the country, and the regional group holds annual gatherings throughout Northern California.

We meet once a month to enjoy each other’s company, plan road trips, share experiences, and pass along technical know-how. We’re a casual, family-oriented club that welcomes everyone, not just the folks kicking tires. Our activities include tours, history outings, seminars, car shows, parades, and… food. Lots of delicious food.

And we never pass up a good ice cream shop.

A Christmas party inside a decorated building with Christmas trees, ornaments, and vintage cars in the background. Guests are seated at tables enjoying a meal, with holiday decorations and festive settings.
